Welcome to another week in local football. Congratulations to all umpires last week, especially those who ran their first game with the association. This weekend Braxton Ficarra is umpiring his first senior game. A great effort and hopefully there is many more to come.
Last weekend at MSP our illustrious coach (Josh Lee) calmly threw the ball up and strolled back looking proud of himself. Unfortunately Josh’s throw went a little wayward and being a fair official that he is, he recalled his centre throw up much to the delight of some others on the ground.
A reminder that all umpires need to complete two registration forms: an SFUA registration form which is done through a Google Form and is very easy to navigate. All umpires also need to register on Officials HQ which will eventually make other roles we complete easier. Can all umpires please ensure both tasks have been completed by round 5. A final task is to ensure payment has been made to the SFUA.
It’s great to see increasing numbers attending training sessions. The more sessions we can attend the greater benefits we will have on our fitness levels. Thanks to Ballsa for preparing these sessions.
